The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (お隣の天使様にいつの間にか駄目人間にされていた件 Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) is a slow-burn romance series between Mahiru Shiina and Amane Fujimiya. While first written in web novel format, it was published as a light novel, and eventually a manga adaption and an anime adaption. It is written by Saekisan.
Plot[]
Amane lives alone in an apartment, and the most beautiful girl in school, Mahiru, lives just next door. They've almost never spoken–until the day he sees her in distress on a rainy day and lends her his umbrella. To return the favor, she offers him help around the house, and a relationship slowly begins to blossom as the distance between them closes...

Light Novel[]

GA Books acquired and published the web novel with illustrations by Hanekoto. So far, thirteen volumes have been published in Japanese (14th to be released September 13th, 2025). Yen Press acquired the light novels for English release, publishing the first volume on December 15, 2020, and 10 volumes have been published in English.

On June 14th, 2019, the main author Saekisan, posted a Manga Oneshot on her twitter account drawn by Hazano Kazutake. This was 4 pages with plot from Chapter 9 of Volume 1 of the LN.
An official manga, announced on November 18th, 2019, is now published by Square Enix's online manga magazine Manga UP! Five manga tankobon volumes have been released in Japanese. Square Enix Manga & Books acquired the manga for English release, publishing first volume on February 6, 2024, and 3 volumes have been published in English (4th to be released October 7, 2025).
